Bees
Mellifera Farm is an important location for Washington State University's honey bee breeding program. Steve heads up the Apis Molecular Systemic Lab at WSU where he and his team are doing innovative research and working to save the bees every day.
Because of our isolated location, the farm is an ideal place for the breeding program where the Bee Team is adapting old world strains to Pacific Northwest conditions.
